Song 1: muzeONE - Venom (from Anarchy Reigns/Max Anarchy)
Song 2: Raito - GCV 2009 -For The Future- (From Melty Blood: Actress Again)

Unlike my usual mashups, I didn’t replace the beat that the vocals were originally recorded on. I simply sped up, looped, and mixed Melty Blood’s Neco Burst Camp stage music with one of muzeONE’s songs on the Anarchy Reigns/Max Anarchy soundtrack. I think the combination works really well (it’s really hype and energetic) but it also makes the track really noisy so it’s not for everyone. Feel free to download the mashup here. Enjoy!

Vocals: Shing02 - Luv (sic) Part 5
Beat: RE:NDZ - button A button B

I’ve heard a few different takes on Luv (sic) Part 5 and, as one might expect, a lot of them are appropriately remixed or mashed up (to great effect I might add) to beats by artists that sound inspired by Nujabes (Naturally. Who DIDN”T that man inspire?). For my mashup, I deviated from the Nujabes-like sound and mixed Luv (sic) 5 to a relaxed electronic beat by RE:NDZ (aka kz aka livetune). I dedicate this mashup to Caridad Gil and I’d like to share it with the rest of the world as well. Feel free to download this mashup here. Happy listening and I hope you enjoy!

Vocals: Pack FM - Click Clack & Spray
Beat: Force Of Nature - Mist

This mashup was inspired by the Samurai Champloo’s 18th episode “War of the Words”. I thought Force of Nature’s “Mist” was a good fit for the dark and stealthy mood set by Pack FM’s storytelling. If anyone is interested, feel free to download the mashup here. Enjoy!

Vocals: Mr. J. Medeiros - Nothing Without Providence
Beat: Hiroshi Yamaguchi - Find You

For my third Anarchy Reigns/Max Anarchy mashup I mixed some Mr. J. Medeiros vocals to “Find You” (the final boss theme). The idea was actually a request from minesweeperaddict. I had to shorten a few segments on the hook to fit it to the new vocals but I think it worked out well. If anyone is interested, the mashup is available for download here. Have fun listening.

A while back I was asked by all-glitter-no-soul to do a “Testin’ Me” mashup, but I’ve been having trouble making anything good out of it. I found a good instrumental for it that wasn’t extended for half an hour, but all of the acapellas I have in the 150-ish BPM range (around the speed of the instrumental) sound like International Player’s Anthem or something equally inappropriate for the mood set by “Testin’ Me”. I haven’t given up on making the mashup, but it’s gonna be on hold for a while until I expand my acapella library or figure out how to make the ones I do have work (I’m really sorry all-glitter-no-soul. I’ll make it up to you someday.). In the meantime, I’ll still be attempting other mashups and taking requests so don’t be afraid to ask.

Vocals: Felt - Revisiting The Styletron + We Have You Surrounded (Snippet)
Beat: Naoto Tanaka - Over In A Flash

Here’s my second Anarchy Reigns/Max Anarchy related mashup. I intended to make a “Testin’ Me” mashup to meet all-glitter-no-soul’s request, but the only instrumentals i found for it were either really short or ridiculously extended. Either way I had my work cut out for me adjusting the beat length, so I saved it for later and churned out a mashup to Big Bull’s theme with much less trouble. You guys never cease to give me a healthy challenge with your requests, so hopefully this mashup will suffice in the meantime while I try to finish the requested one. Feel free to download it here.

eibomb replied to your post: some of your older tracks give me an error when i…

It’s the auto-scroll. I have the same theme as you. You can’t hear any mp3’s once you hit page two. Anon can hear any of those songs by opening the permalink.

Thanks for the info eibomb! It sure saved me some time. If anyone else is having trouble hearing any posted mashups due to the auto-scroll, feel free to take this informed gentleperson’s advice.

some of your older tracks give me an error when i try to listen to them, is there any way you could re upload them or something?

Of course I can. I’ll check and fix all the posts either tonight or tomorrow.

Vocals: Rakim - Once Upon A Rhyme In Japan
Beat: KYO ITACHI - Love Japan

It’s been a while, but I made another “Hope For Japan” mashup. I find my choice of vocals especially fitting this time around. The God Emcee represents for Japan over a beat made to raise money for their relief efforts. Enjoy the mashup and feel free to download it here. Also, feel free to donate to relief efforts in Japan and all over the world at globalgiving.org. The “Hope For Japan” album is now free and proceeds from optional purchases of it go to Bandcamp, so you can also choose to donate there and support independent artists.

You guys may not know this about me since I usually just post mashups here, but I’m a pretty avid fighting game fan. When I’m not playing against real people, I like to freestyle my own combos and make them as long as possible; no matter how impractical. Today I came up with a 20 hit Juri combo in Street Fighter IV at my friend Randy’s house. It takes 3 bars of meter and the damage scaling defeats the purpose of ever using it in a real match, but it sure looks fancy.

Verses: J-Live - No Time Waste
Beat: Bugseed - Painted Lady

I got an anonymous request to make a mashup using Bugseed’s “Painted Lady”, so I mixed it to some J-Live vocals. The beat is from The Word Is Bond’s “Hope For Tomorrow”: a compilation album made to raise money for the relief efforts in Japan. Nowadays the album is free on bandcamp (if you use the mediafire links provided on the page), but anyone who wants to donate to the cause can still do so through globalgiving.org. As for the mashup, feel free to download it here. I hope you enjoy it; anonymous or not.

Vocals: L Universe & Nujabes - Ain’t No Mystery
Beat: BeNeVoLeNcE - Only Time Can Tell (Chrono Cross)

Today’s mashup is L Universe (AKA Verbal of M-Flo) mixed to a Chrono Cross related beat. The cool thing about this particular beat is that it’s actually a medley. I think the first theme sampled is “A Child Lost In Time” but I’m pretty sure the next two are “Arni Village” and “Fields of Time” (those track title translations may vary). Enjoy the mashup and feel free to download it here.

could you make something with painted lady by bugseed?

I’d be delighted to make a mashup for a fellow Bugseed fan.

love your stuff :)

I must be doing something right to earn mafioso cult leader/rap star Nathan Copeland’s praise. “That’s what I like to hear! This is it! This Is what I been praying for!” Major props on your RP blog.
